Description:
Key Duties
- Provide professional advice guidance and updates with an evidence-based approach in relation to processes and procedures to internal and external customers that will have institute wide impacts.
- Identify possible impacts across the University and, working with Professional Services and Colleges, support projects to implement solutions, co-ordinating and supervising working groups as needed
- Support and lead consultation and engagement activities with a variety of stakeholders including Trade Unions
- Take responsibility for resolving issues independently within data, systems. reporting and processes where they fall within set role objective.
- Investigate and analysis specific issues involving both simple and complex qualitative and quantitative data sets creating recommendation reports to inform strategic and operational decision making.
- Ensure that the provision of relevant data and analytics is delivered to the institution, proactively changing the delivery according to customer requirements
- Establish working relationships with key contacts, developing appropriate communication links with the University’s Schools/Directorates and outside bodies as required
- Create specific working groups from colleagues across the University to achieve objectives
- Plan and deliver specific small-scale projects, co-ordinating and supervising project teams created as needed
- Develop and deliver relevant training or support materials as required.
- Undertake a variety of administrative duties to support the department
- Instruct and guide other employees across the University in order to achieve project aims.
General Duties
- Support communication and engagement with key groups through a range of media, such as face-to-face presentations, the University webpages, blogging and social media
- Support with role evaluations as required.
- Ensure that an understanding of the importance of confidentiality is applied when undertaking all duties
- Abide by University policies on Health and Safety and Equality and Diversity
- Perform other duties occasionally which are not included above, but which will be consistent with the role
QUALIFICATIONS AND EDUCATION
- Degree/NVQ or equivalent Professional membership/experience
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND EXPERIENCE
- Substantial experience of working to support change and innovation in an organisation gained through work within HR.
- Able to demonstrate professional knowledge within specialist discipline to give advice and guidance to internal and external customers
- Demonstrable understanding of role evaluation, job descriptions and HR data.
