About the Team
We are a small team supporting the wider Group and operational teams with continuous improvement through our quality management framework ISO 9001, conducting regular audits and developing processes. The team also processes sanctions for illegal use of the radio spectrum, procures specialist equipment and services, co-ordinates fleet management and oversees important support elements such as health and safety training, asset management, policy reading and is responsible for delivering pan-directorate projects.
Purpose of the Role
You will play a crucial role maintaining accreditation against the ISO 9001:2015 Standard, including performing internal audits in line with Ofcom’s audit programme, developing audit plans, raising and tracking non-conformities, and supporting improvement initiatives. Some Travel is involved.
You will provide secondary support in the procurement of goods and services and support with the maintenance and servicing of technical specialist equipment by arranging calibration and repairs as part of our asset management process.

Your key responsibilities

  • Maintaining the auditing programme through scheduling, planning, and performing internal and external audits and functions relevant to maintaining an effective Quality Management System.
  • Supporting a high standard of service delivery that ensures effective customer relationships and ongoing customer satisfaction, through regular customer feedback reporting and the implementation of corrective actions.
  • Work with teams within scope to ensure that remediation is implemented in a timely manner and is effective.
  • Support teams within scope to maintain standardised up-to-date policies and procedures and development of flow-charts.
  • Process key procurement documentation e.g. purchase orders, invoices, and goods receipt notes in line with relevant Ofcom policies and processes.
  • Liaise with internal and external stakeholders as necessary, ensuring queries are dealt with in a professional and timely manner.
  • Maintain accurate records in our Case Management System, Workday and SharePoint
  • Provide assistance with preparing commercial procurement documentation in line with commercial guidelines

The skills, knowledge and experience you will need for success

Essential

  • Experience auditing to ISO 9001:2015 standard with evidence of successful delivery of the standard
  • Expert knowledge of auditing principles and processes. (ISO 9001:2015 certification)
  • ISO 9001 Internal Auditor qualification (minimum)
  • Executing Plans: Organise tasks and set clear goals, managing resources wisely, while keeping an eye on process
  • Owning Accountabilities: Take responsibility for your actions, decisions, and their outcomes. Show up reliably and commit to getting the job done
