JOB OVERVIEW

The Internal Comms Marketing Manager, reporting into the Marketing Director C&CX, is responsible for providing support to functions across the organization to deliver clear and compelling internal communications. This includes working closely with HR, supporting their communication needs across The WaterBowl (intranet) Gateway TV, and internal emails, offering both strategic thinking and creative development support.
Under the direction of the Marketing Director C&CX, the Internal Communication Marketing Manager will ensure that communication pieces are effective in delivering key messages, while also ensuring consistency and alignment with brand guidelines. Additionally, this role will lead the development of internal comms driven change management strategies to help support business wide alignment for key corporate initiatives. This position also involves providing creative development and project execution support to the marketing team on key strategic projects. Further, they will support the ELT with external PR/crisis mgm’t when required.

EDUCATION, TRAINING & QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Marketing, Communications, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5+ years’ experience in Marketing, Communications, PR or agency roles.
  • Proven experience in copywriting, content creation, and graphic design.
  • Experience with Graphic Design Software (Canva, Adobe Photoshop/Illustrator/InDesign, etc).
  • Experience with video content development and editing an asset.
  • Experience with external PR/crisis management.

  • Copywriting: Strong writing and editing skills with the ability to create clear, concise, and engaging content for internal audiences.
  • Content Creation: Proficiency in creating various types of content, including written, visual, and multimedia formats.
  • Graphic Design: Proficiency in graphic design software (e.g., Adobe Creative Suite) to create visually appealing communication materials.
  • Strategic Thinking: Proven ability to articulate and execute against communication strategies
  • Change Management: Experience in understanding core change management tenets and applying them into internal comms strategies.
  • Project Management: Excellent project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.

  • Interpersonal Skills: Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with colleagues across different departments.

Responsibilities:

  • Content Creation: Create engaging and informative content for internal channels including the intranet (Waterbowl), Gateway TV, external and internal corporate communications, ensuring alignment with brand guidelines.
  • Copywriting: Develop clear, compelling, and concise copy for various internal communication materials, including newsletters, announcements, and updates.
  • Graphic Design: Utilize graphic design skills to create visually appealing communication pieces that enhance the effectiveness of the message and engage the internal audience.
  • Change Management: Leverage a foundational understanding of key change management principles to inform internal comms strategy and content.
  • Brand Advocate: Ensure all internal communications are consistent with the organization’s brand guidelines and tone of voice.
  • Continuous Improvement: Gather feedback on internal communications and make recommendations for improvements to enhance effectiveness and employee engagement.
  • Event Support: Assist in the planning and execution of internal events and campaigns, providing communication and logistical support as needed.
  • Collaboration: Collaborate with various departments to ensure alignment and coordination of internal communication efforts across the organization.
