Responsibilities:

The postholder will be responsible for the line management and direction of a team of internal communications professionals within the Directorate of IT Services.
Working closely with the Communications, Marketing and Student Recruitment Directorate, as well as colleagues across the University, they will support with the development and delivery of the University’s internal communications and engagement service and strategy, ensuring the production of dynamic communications and campaigns, and making sure colleagues at all levels are engaged, informed, and receiving consistent messages across the University, with a particular focus on IT.
Ensure a culture of service excellence and continuous improvement across the team by putting our colleagues and students at the heart of everything we do, and embedding a positive sense of identity, direction, purpose, and community.
This post involves evening and weekend commitments. Appointees must be prepared to work outside regular office hours and support an out-of-hours rota as necessary. The University has arrangements in place to recognise this working pattern and to ensure an appropriate balance between working and non-working time.
