About the role:
Deloitte Ireland is seeking a dynamic and innovative Internal Communications Business Partner with a strong background in event management to join our team. This role will play a key part in developing, coordinating, and delivering strategic campaigns that engage our employees. This role combines internal communications expertise with event management skills to create impactful experiences that support positive employee engagement and alignment with Deloitte’s strategic objectives. Fostering a vibrant company culture, you will work closely with leadership, HR, and other departments to plan & execute events and develop internal communication strategies. This role is perfect for a proven, confident professional Communicator with experience of partnering with, and offering solutions to, leadership teams in a large, complex organisation.

Business Partnering

  • Support and advise business leadership, key stakeholders and the wider team on best-in-class internal communications activity. Thinking strategically, pitch new ideas and offer challenging perspectives.
  • Stay close to the ‘pulse’ of the business you’re partnering with – through strong relationships and both qualitative and quantitative feedback and measurement techniques, have a clear view of what is working well and areas that need improvement.
  • Maintain and build effective relationships with key stakeholders.
  • Collaborate across business functions to ensure all communication efforts are aligned.

Event Planning and Execution

  • End-to-End Event Management: Plan, organise, and execute internal events such as town halls, leadership events, firm-wide connection events.
  • Event Communications Strategy: Develop communication strategies around events, ensuring employees are well-informed, excited, and engaged with upcoming and past events.
  • Content Creation: Craft and deliver pre-event, live-event, and post-event communications, including invitations, intranet announcements, presentations, speeches, and follow-up surveys.
  • Messaging and Tone: Work closely with leadership to develop event messaging that aligns with Deloitte values, fosters a positive culture, and is accessible across employee levels and roles.
  • Brand Consistency: Ensure all events align with the company’s brand, values, and objectives, creating cohesive experiences that strengthen company culture.
  • Vendor and Budget Management: Work with external vendors, manage budgets, and ensure high-quality deliverables for events, coordinating logistics, venue selection, equipment, and other event requirements.

Campaign Strategy & Planning

  • Plan and execute campaign strategy that align with Deloitte Ireland’s internal communications objectives and broader business goals.
  • Maintain and manage an editorial calendar, coordinating content themes, key initiatives, and scheduling for maximum engagement.
  • Actively seek feedback from employees and business leaders to continuously improve the effectiveness and relevance of internal communications

About you:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Journalism, Marketing, or a related field.
  • 3+ years of experience in internal communications, content strategy, or a similar role, preferably within a large or global organisation.
  • Proven experience event management.

Technical Skills

  • Fluent understanding of digital and social media trends as they relate to internal communications.
  • Strong writing, editing, and proofreading skills, with an ability to adapt content to various audiences and formats.
  • Familiarity with internal communication tools, content management systems (CMS), and email marketing platforms.
  • Knowledge of analytics tools (e.g., Google Analytics) and experience in using data to refine content strategies.

  • Strong project management skills with the ability to prioritise and handle multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, with an ability to collaborate effectively across teams and communicate with senior leaders.
  • Creative thinker with a keen eye for detail and a passion for storytelling and brand engagement.
  • Self-motivated, adaptable, and able to work independently, with a commitment to delivering high-quality work.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in a consulting or professional services environment is a plus.
