As an Internal Communications Manager, you are an expert of crafting messages that inform, engage, and inspire action. Naturally optimistic, you connect easily with people through your talent for storytelling. This role serves as the voice of Nordia internally, and is the ideal position for a well-rounded communicator who knows how to use your communication skills to align vision and support business objectives.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement internal communications plans that align with Nordia’s vision and objectives.
- Draft compelling content for announcements, newsletters, internal website and portals etc.
- Enhance corporate culture with content that support employee experience events such as town hall, engagement events, celebrations (presentations, invitations, collaterals etc.).
- Act as a communications advisor for Nordia’s corporate support functions (HR, IT, Finances).
- Optimize internal communications (conduct surveys, benchmarks, review processes).
Qualifications:
- Writing skills – You write clearly and concisely, this is your superpower.
- Attention to detail – You pay attention to details and can see what others easily miss.
- Critical thinking – You can evaluate information for accuracy and can synthesize them for your audience.
- Knowledge of style guides (a plus!) – You know your way around the standards for the writing, formatting, and design of documents (Canadian Press Stylebook)
- Time management and adaptability – You are a multitasker, you know how to plan your workload. You can prioritize and coordinate multiple projects while respecting tight deadlines.
- Team player - You have a strong collaborative spirit and excellent interpersonal skills, you know how to provide/receive updates and constructive feedback to/from your colleagues, external partners, and internal customers.
- Digitally fluent – You have advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office suite and Canva.
- Bilingual – You are fluent in French and English. This is essential, given the international context of our teams. You’ll be communicating in English between 30 and 60% of the time.
- Savvy communicator – You hold a university/college diploma in a relevant discipline, you have previous experience in communications (3-5 years).
