Location: Hybrid
Up to £29,000 per annum FTE

Responsibilities:
MAIN PURPOSE:
- Develop, deliver and evaluate an effective internal communications strategy and overall approach to help make Brainkind a great place to work, ensuring staff understand organisational strategy and priorities
MAIN TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES

- Develop an annual plan for internal communications, and deliver timely and engaging communications
- Build understanding and engagement of Brainkind’s strategy, and ensuring staff know the role they can play in it
- Build the right approaches and routes to engagement for staff throughout periods of change
- Oversee the management, and support the development, of Brainkind’s intranet
- Manage day to day internal communications including a selection of internal newsletters and webinars, ensuring all content is tailored for our different audiences and platforms
- Advise on and assist colleagues and teams (including our Executive and Senior Leadership Teams) on the most appropriate channels and activities for their internal communications
- Support the CEO to develop a maintain a strong profile across the organisation, with a regular programme of communications
- Advise on and facilitate improved information sharing across the organisation, including identifying new opportunities and channels for increased staff engagement
- Write strong and creative copy for a range of audiences, and advise on the communications produced by other teams
- Work with the communications team to ensure consistency of message across internal and external platforms
- Monitor and evaluate activities to ensure internal communications are effective, including supporting the development and delivery, in conjunction with the People Services department, of a regular staff survey
- Work with Brainkind’s Equality, Diversity and Inclusion (EDI) committee to promote their work across the organisation
- Organise staff events and activities where appropriate
- Keep abreast of good internal communications practice and ensure the Trust follows this as appropriate
About You
- Relevant ’A’ level or University level Education
- English language and Mathematics GCSE grade C or above (or equivalent)
- Proven experience and knowledge of managing internal communications to wide and varied audiences in a similar sized organisation
- Sound understanding of the effectiveness of various communications channels and the ability to translate complex information into meaningful communications
- Experience of working in a marketing and PR environment
- Experience of using the full range of elements from the internal communications mix including digital channels
