Ricoh are currently recruiting for an Internal Communications Manager based in London.
Reporting into the Head of Communications, EMEA, within the Strategic Communications function, work with the EMEA Strategic Communications team to deliver effective and engaging internal communications and events across Ricoh Europe Plc (head office) and the EMEA (Europe, Middle East and Africa) region. Work with the Senior Manager – Internal Communications to plan and implement an inspiring and measurable internal communication plan which ensures pan-EMEA employee alignment to Ricoh’s global business strategy across EMEA Operating Companies (OpCos). Collaborate with key business areas to drive communication programmes that support Ricoh’s ongoing technology, cultural and marketing transformation. Support the delivery of internal initiatives that boost morale while keeping Ricoh Europe colleagues connected, engaged and informed.

What you will be doing

SKILLS:

  • Highly motivated self-starter with strong stakeholder management skills.
  • A strong writer with an eye for detail and excellent proof-reading skills.
  • An excellent grasp of English and proven experience in developing high-quality, targeted written communication deliverables, such as videos, intranet content, employee newsletters, blogs, scripts.
  • Ability to effectively communicate business strategies and complex messages in a simple and memorable way.
  • Consistently able to meet deadlines and goals to a high-standard and within budget.
  • Understanding of digital platforms and internal social tools.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office 365 e.g. SharePoint and Viva Engage.
  • Team player with positive energy, bags of initiative and a creative mindset.

EXPERIENCE:

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in a dedicated internal communications role, either as a Senior IC Executive or Internal Communications Manager.
  • Experience managing in-person and online / hybrid events.
  • Proven success working closely with key influencers to deliver strategic messages.

Responsibilities:

  • Work with the Head of Communications to plan and deploy the EMEA internal communications strategy to c.15,000 employees and Ricoh Europe communication programme to c.1,000 employees.
  • Support the delivery of the in-house executive communications programme for the Ricoh Europe management board.
  • Support the Head of Communications to improve usage and interaction with Ricoh’s intranet and social tools and improve consistency of messaging.
  • Develop and launch a new employee focused e-magazine/newsletter to share news, information and updates that will help people to feel proud and excited to be part of the Ricoh family group.
  • Develop communications approach to ensure senior team members are regularly updated with relevant information and provide tools to enable easy cascade of messaging to teams.
  • Record and update channel metrics to measure success of internal comms messaging, activities and campaigns, creating reports and helping to review the effectiveness.
  • Create, distribute and report on an internal comms pulse survey to gather feedback on the effectiveness of internal comms activity.
  • Develop and distribute high-quality materials that articulate Ricoh’s brand, vision and objectives.
  • Produce content for internal comms channels, actively sourcing business and employee news that represents activity aligned to our business strategy and company values.
  • Actively demonstrate the company’s progress against the pillars of the company strategy and help to drive understanding of how employees contribute to its delivery.
  • Maintain and support the development of internal comms digital platform, including internal social channels.
  • Partner with EMEA PR and Content Operations to ensure appropriate external content is share internally, adapting for the internal audience where necessary.
  • Support Ricoh Europe head office divisions to share business-wide updates and engage audiences with their messaging and content.
  • Partner with HR and on a range of ongoing business projects and initiatives to drive employee engagement and help continue to build a positive culture at Ricoh Europe and across EMEA.
  • Partner with the Diversity, Equity & Inclusion (DEI) committee to support communication and raise awareness of key DEI events and activities.
  • Work with the Ricoh Global Corporate Communications team based in Japan on a range of projects as and when they arise and to ensure regional alignment with messaging from Ricoh’s HQ.
  • Support ESG (Environmental, Social and Governance) communications across the Region.
  • Work with the Head of Communications to develop the relationship with comms professionals in Ricoh’s operating companies (OpCo’s) (25 across EMEA) to gain an in-depth understanding and promote collaboration between the internal communications community across the region, ensuring alignment and encouraging knowledge sharing.
  • Work closely with OpCo internal communicators to better understand their content creation process and methods used for effective employee engagement.
