DETAILS

  • Department: Internal Functional Communications
  • Schedule: Full Time/8-Hour Day Shift, Monday-Friday
  • Location: Remote - Living in one of the following key markets is strongly preferred - Nashville, Chicago, Austin, Milwaukee, or Indianapolis

REQUIREMENTS

Education:

  • High School diploma equivalency with 2 years of cumulative experience OR Associate’s degree/Bachelor’s degree OR 4 years of applicable cumulative job specific experience required.

EDUCATION:

  • Bachelor’s degree. 5 years in an internal communications role, ideally with experience working in a healthcare provider system or similar services organization.

WORK EXPERIENCE:

  • Experience executing communications plans and campaigns
  • Experience with executive communications and counsel
  • Ability to write and edit engaging and visually appealing change communications
  • Adept at the rapid development of content in support of organizational communications needs
  • Experience working against clearly outlined KPIs and supporting the reporting of results to multiple teams
  • Strong collaboration skills with other team members
  • Journalism, public relations, or communications degree preferred

Responsibilities:

RESPONSIBILITIES

As Internal Communications Specialist, you will develop and implement internal communications that strengthen Ascension’s culture, associate experience and operational priorities, supporting Ascension’s HR organization and strategies.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Implement strategic and measurable internal communications plans for HR strategies, focused on associate engagement
  • Provide internal communications counsel and support to Ascension’s HR leaders
  • Combine strategic thinking and big-picture perspective with attention to detail, clarity and focus
  • Develop internal communications content, campaigns and events that support our operational objectives and our internal brand
  • Proactively identify trends, risks, challenges and solutions to process adoption, and lead and support change communication efforts
  • Ensure that communications reflect the Mission, Vision and Values of Ascension as a healing ministry of the Catholic Church
