The Internal Communications Specialist is responsible for crafting impactful, inspiring, and values-aligned communications to engage and inform internal audiences at REDW, playing a key role in fostering a connected and inclusive culture by driving cohesive messaging across departments, and collaborating with internal teams to design and execute a strategic communication plan covering key events, policy updates, firm initiatives, milestones, updates, and announcements while promoting REDW’s values and mission.

KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS

  • Proven creativity and skills in digital content creation
  • Experience in content marketing, communications strategy, and best practices, particularly for remote workforces.
  • Ability to work directly with senior leadership, demonstrating confidence and professionalism.
  • Strong organizational and project management abilities, with the capacity to handle multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
  • Openness to feedback, a collaborative mindset, and the ability to foster a positive team environment.
  • Self-motivated with a strong capacity for critical thinking and independent work.
  • Demonstrated ability to build relationships and engage team members, especially in remote settings.
  • Exceptional writing and editing skills, with a keen ability to communicate effectively with diverse audiences.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365 Suite and design tools such as Canva or InDesign.
  • Experience managing intranet or employee engagement platforms.
  • Enthusiasm for embracing and leveraging technology in communication efforts.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Associate or Bachelor’s degree in communications, business, graphic design, or a related field. Equivalent work experience will be considered.
  • A minimum of 3 years of experience in internal communications, marketing, or a similar role.
  • Expertise in MS Outlook, Teams, Microsoft Office 365 Suite, and design software such as Canva, Constant Contact, or similar platforms.

The potential annualized pay range for this position is $69,000 - $82,500. We make compensation offers within the range based on a range of individual factors, including but not limited to location, skills, experience, training, licensure and certifications, business needs, and applicable employment laws. These factors may also be taken into consideration to offer above or below the pay range.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and deliver accurate, engaging communications for internal audiences
  • Understand the best communication methods and channels for communication across a remote-first workforce, ensuring maximum engagement.
  • Collaborate with marketing to execute visually compelling communications.
  • Lead the planning and execution of internal communication campaigns, managing projects from concept to completion.
  • Partner with the People Operations and Marketing to continuously improve the effectiveness of the internal intranet.
  • Collaborate with Operations Support and People Operations to produce content for internal meetings and events, ensuring seamless coordination and execution.
  • Establish templates, Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), and guidelines for all internal communication efforts.
  • Manage a regular cadence of internal updates, including newsletters, ensuring timely and relevant content
  • Develop and implement change communication strategies alongside People Operations and our Leadership Team to support organizational initiatives.
  • Optimize and track the use of our communication channels such as newsletters, intranet, and employee engagement platforms.
  • Ensure all communications reflect REDW’s commitment to diversity, equity, inclusion, and belonging (DEIB).
  • Use visual storytelling and design thinking to communicate REDW’s narrative internally.
  • Provide editorial support, ensuring all communications align with branding and messaging guidelines.
  • Gather user data and insights to refine and improve communication strategies and adopt data-driven practices for ongoing improvement.
  • Respond promptly to complex, fast-moving, and unexpected communication challenges.
  • Maintain internal content calendars, scheduling necessary meetings, and ensuring collaboration with key stakeholders amid shifting priorities.
  • Perform other related duties as required and assigned.
