As an internal communications pro, you anticipate and address complex issues with ease, considering multiple alternatives, risks and benefits. Highly strategic and detail-oriented, you develop goals and objectives to ensure best practices are employed and implement comprehensive plans to cover all the necessary bases. An analytical thinker, you’re always keeping an eye on the data to adjust strategies for effectiveness, define problems and develop innovative solutions.
We’re pleased to partner with Doctors of BC in their search for an Internal Communications Specialist. This individual will develop and execute advanced communications strategies for internal audiences. The right person for the role can “read the room” and write with heart. They’re also a skilled problem solver who enjoys guiding and coaching fellow colleagues, building and maintaining professional relationships at all levels of an organization.

Responsibilities:

  • Design and implement comprehensive communication strategies to support organizational objectives, enhance employee engagement, and promote the organization’s mission and values.
  • Serve as a key advisor on communication matters, offering specialized solutions to complex issues and contributing to the department’s strategic planning efforts.
  • Partner with the Communications Manager for streamlined strategy execution.
  • Lead cross-functional projects and collaborate with various departments to integrate communication efforts, ensuring alignment with broader organizational goals.
  • Identify, manage and resolve communication challenges, employing innovative solutions and contingency planning to mitigate risks.
  • Develop and distribute compelling content across various platforms to engage Doctors of BC’s diverse internal audience including speaking notes, all-staff emails, presentations, surveys, and more.
  • Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of communication strategies, using data analytics to inform decision making and strategy adjustments.
  • Provide guidance and leadership to staff in various departments, collaborating on project work and contributing to organizational culture.
  • Stay current on communication trends and advancements to continually innovate and improve the organization’s internal communications efforts.
    The salary range for this role is $62,000 - $78,000, along with a generous vacation and benefits package.
