Internal Controls Manager Up to £65,000 (dependent on experience). Based in Manchester.
Responsibilities:
PURPOSE
BrightHR are looking for a talented Internal Auditor / Internal Controls Manager to join our fantastic team. You will be part of the Finance team and work closely with other departments to manage and monitor risks in financial processes and drive improvement in the controls effectiveness across BrightHR Group.
Reports to Chief Financial Officer
DAY-TO-DAY RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO THE BELOW:
- Internal Audit: Oversee the creation and delivery of the BrightHR Group Internal Audit programme. Support the CFO in ensuring risks are effectively captured, monitored, and appropriate actions are taken to mitigate or reduce risks to appropriate levels.
- Control testing: Monitor the effective operation of financial controls. Perform walkthrough of controls, complete operating effectiveness testing, and leading discussions with business functions to improve and update controls, this will include feeding back issues with existing processes.
- Financial Controls: Work with the control owners to improve internal controls, document processes, and implement additional controls where required.
- Risk reporting: Provide regular reporting to senior stakeholders on the status of testing, controls effectiveness, and outstanding management actions. Track key performance indicators (KPIs) for all aspects of risk across the business, coordinating with other departments where necessary. Identify trends, patterns, and anomalies to inform business strategy and operational delivery.
