The Project Engineer is primarily responsible for review and improvement of existing processes, development and implementation of new processes for internal logistics, warehouse management, shipping and receiving functions. Considering applicable regulatory requirements e.g. CTPAT, DOT, shipping of hazardous goods, EHS guidelines. General Project management, coordination and management of specific assignments, while applying lean manufacturing methodologies, process mapping and design, etc.

  • Manage and coordinate projects in the Internal Logitics areas as well as cross departmental projects related to logisctis functions.
  • Develop project plans while incorporating both short and long term strategies, manage project team activities, communicate changes and progress to team members, maintain data.
  • Monitor work to ensure quality, display commitment to excellence, meet productivity standards, and complete projects on time and budget.
  • Review and improvement of existing processes, development and implementation of new processes for internal logistics, warehouse management, shipping and receiving functions. Considering applicable regulatory requirements e.g. CTPAT, DOT, shipping of hazardous goods, EHS guidelines.
  • Address and resolve process and other work related issues. Assist employees in work related problem solving.
  • Develop, monitor and report KPIs (key performance indicators), communicate results to teams and management.
  • Support achievement of departmental goals and targets.

Experience
Familiarity with TRUMPF products a plus. Strong experience in project management and lean methodologies required. Knowledge of SAP or any other MRP system a plus. Strong communication skills and excellent analytical and problem-solving skills required.
Education
Minimum 4-year technical degree or the suitable combination of education and work experience
