JOB SUMMARY

We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Internal Marketing Assistant to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for building and maintaining strong relationships with agents and brokers who market our products and services. This is a support-driven position where you will work closely with the MERIT Sales team, handling a variety of tasks essential to the smooth operation of our business.

  • Ability to quickly learn new software, including illustration and system programs.

Responsibilities:

  • Support the Sales team by reviewing new insurance applications for accuracy and completeness.
  • Answer agent/broker questions related to product features, underwriting niches, and application processes.
  • Fulfill literature requests and generate illustrations and quotes for agents and brokers.
  • Serve as a positive and professional representative of MERIT, contributing to continued sales growth.
  • Stay updated on company products, processes, and how agents/brokers interact with them.
  • Develop a strong understanding of the insurance industry, market trends, and legal environments to provide value-added service.
  • Collaborate with the Sales and Case Management teams to encourage business placement with MERIT.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with agents, brokers, and carrier representatives.
  • Field inbound calls and respond promptly to voicemail and email requests.
