Internal Medicine Specialist

Internal medicine specialists, often referred to as internists, focus on diagnosing, treating, and preventing a wide range of adult illnesses and conditions.
Clinical Responsibilities
1. Diagnosis and Management of Adult Diseases*
- Evaluate and diagnose acute and chronic illnesses such as diabetes, hypertension, heart disease, and respiratory conditions.
- Perform detailed patient histories and physical examinations.
2. Comprehensive Patient Care
- Develop individualized treatment plans considering the patient’s medical history and current health status.
- Coordinate care for patients with complex, multisystem illnesses.
3. Preventive Care
- Offer screenings and health-risk assessments for early detection of diseases.
- Provide lifestyle counseling for disease prevention (e.g., diet, exercise, smoking cessation).
4. Specialized Procedures
- Perform diagnostic procedures such as lumbar punctures, central line insertions, or joint aspirations.
- Interpret diagnostic tests, including blood work, imaging studies, and electrocardiograms (ECGs).Patient Advocacy and Coordination*
5. Coordination of Care
- Collaborate with other specialists (e.g., cardiologists, neurologists) to ensure comprehensive patient care.
- Refer patients to specialists or other healthcare professionals when necessary.
6. Hospital Care
- Admit and manage patients in inpatient settings, including intensive care units (ICUs).
- Provide consultative services to other physicians in a hospital setting.
Teaching and Mentorship
7. Education**
- Educate patients and their families about medical conditions, treatment options, and preventive measures.
- Mentor medical students, residents, or other healthcare providers.
Research and Continuous Learning
8. Medical Research
- Conduct or participate in clinical trials to advance medical knowledge.

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: AED30,000.00 - AED35,000.00 per month
