Description:
PERSON SPECIFICATION

Responsibilities:
- To allocate all eligible students to university residences in line with the Allocations policy, within specified timescales, using a computerised allocations system.
- To deal with enquiries from students / other departments regarding the availability of university residences after the start of session.
- To keep up to date with void rooms by liaising with the Residences Managers and allocating students to vacant rooms whenever possible to ensure full occupancy of the residences.
- To keep up to date with student withdrawals and liaise with Residences Managers to ensure only registered students occupy rooms in university residences.
- To process Amendment Forms as appropriate.
- To produce allocation reports for the Residences Managers / Administration Manager as required, using the computerised allocations system.
- To deal with a range of enquires from internal and external customers in a professional manner, establishing their requirements and adapting the standard responses accordingly.
- To attend University Open Day events and Offer Holder events, presenting information and taking part in question-and-answer sessions as required, either in person or virtual.
- To assist with the distribution of customer surveys, produce reports / action plans.
- To assist in the production of relevant promotional materials and information documents, particularly intranet and web pages.
- To collaborate with others in order to make recommendations for developments of established processes and procedures.
- To establish working relationships with key contacts to continue to maintain/improve service levels.
- To undertake a variety of administrative duties to support the team and department.
- To abide by university policies on Health and Safety.
- To ensure compliance with legal and regulatory requirements in respect of equality and diversity, data protection, copyright and licensing, security, financial and other University policies, procedures and codes as appropriate.
- To work additional hours (evenings and weekends) to meet the operational requirements for allocations, arrivals and open days etc.
- You may be asked to perform other duties occasionally which are not included above, but which will be consistent with the role.
