International Subsidiary Banking (“ISB”) provides banking coverage to the subsidiaries of Commercial Banking (CMB) clients within the Corporate segment. The ISB strategy is to provide consistent, in-depth, and dedicated coverage across the HSBC network with the end goal to deepen our relationship with our clients. The ISB business is a significant contributor of revenue to CMB and consists of a network of dedicated bankers across more than 55 countries. Operating in the world’s largest economy, ISB in the United States plays a critical role in the firm’s client coverage proposition. The International Corridors team is acutely focused on client acquisition, delivering sustainable solutions, and maintaining the highest level of global standards.
The International Banking Team (IBT) is responsible for increasing revenue inbound into the United States and the role offers maximum exposure to the HSBC Global framework. To support and enhance this dynamic team, Analyst will take the lead in the numerous inbound account activities essential for the function of the team, including (but not limited to): pipeline tracking including ownership of liquidity package implementation, post account opening submissions, signing process, and onboarding system coordination. It is envisioned that over time, the Analyst will assume responsibility of their own portfolio.
The role holder will also be an integral part of the ISB teams assisting to deliver the optimum contribution towards the business’ Annual Operating Plan (AOP), optimize operational efficiency and allow for the highest amount of client engagement

As our International Banking Analyst you will:

  • Contribute to attaining business results by being a vital part of the ISB team
  • Focus on speed to account opening
  • Tracking of all pipeline through post-account opening
  • End to end ownership of liquidity package and pricing implementation
  • Management of Live-Sign process
  • Coordination of reconciliation of all account openings via onboarding system
  • Be a key point person for overseas colleagues
  • Work closely with ISB business management team on strategic areas of focus

For this role, HSBC targets a pay range between $58,700 and $88,100
The final fixed pay offer will depend on the candidate and a number of variables, including but not limited to, role responsibilities, skill set, depth of experience and education, licensing/certification requirements, internal relativity, and specific work location.

Requirements

You´ll likely have the following qualifications to succeed in this role:

  • Minimum 3+ years’ experience in a client focused environment covering any product with a demonstrated understanding of Global corridors
  • Appreciation for working in a global and dynamic environment and the cultural differences therein
  • Interpersonal skills and ability to interact and build relationships with internal and external stakeholders
  • Range of communication skills, including written and verbal. Must possess the ability to produce and deliver compelling presentations
  • Superior time management, planning, reporting and organization skills
  • Strong ‘team’ skills promoting an environment of co-operation and trust
  • A strategic thinker, analytical and financial skills helpful
