Description:

A SNAPSHOT OF YOUR DAY (POSITION OVERVIEW)

The position is to provide maintenance to Steam turbines, generators, and auxiliary systems in the field. It requires 80%+ travel to power plant sites internationally. The daily activities include leading and directing subcontractors to do the necessary tasks to serve the equipment, while assuring quality and technical procedures are followed. You will attend site meetings with customers/subcontractors to coordinate these tasks. You will coordinate and manage the timing of material received on site as necessary. You will be expected to communicate status and lessons-learned to the back-office engineering and management on a consistent basis. You must have a mechanical background and be able to read drawings and schematics necessary for the maintenance of the equipment. Specializing in different frames is possible over the time.

WHAT YOU BRING (REQUIREMENTS)

  • Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.

    • years of experience with power plants or equivalent environment.

    • Self-driven and resourceful to achieve goals independently in addition to working well in groups.
    • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while prioritizing work for yourself and others, under strict timelines and being flexible to changing needs. Prior experience with Siemens Energy’s customers, equipment, and processes is a plus.
    • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
    • Excellent technical writing skills.
    • Proficient computer skills (Microsoft Office and ability to learn others as needed)
    • Flexibility and willingness for domestic and international travel 80%.

    Responsibilities:

    • Direct teams of field service engineers, technicians and craft labor personnel in the de-stoc
    • Coordinate and manage staffing of project team at customer sites.
    • Provide steam turbine knowledge and expertise to division management, customer management, product line management and suppliers.
    • Review and execute customer contract requirements.
    • Prepare and forward accurate reports concerning the condition and repairs and recommendations for customer equipment.
    • Responsibility to comply and / or enforce the protocols, policies, guidelines, and competencies of the current integral management system (EHS, Quality). – Mandatory for all positions in Mex, auditable
