ICF is growing, and we are currently hiring an International Food Security Survey Program Associate to support our population-based survey work. This is a full-time, hybrid position based in Rockville, Maryland.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor’s degree in public health, international studies, social science, food security, agriculture, or nutrition
- 2+ years of experience with monitoring and evaluation, communications, or capacity strengthening in developing countries
- Experience working in low- and middle-income countries
DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Master’s degree in public health, international studies, social science, food security, agriculture, or nutrition
- Experience working on USAID funded projects
- Experience working on projects with an agriculture, climate, or resilience focus
- Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Word
- Data visualization skills
- General professional proficiency in verbal and written French, Portuguese, or Spanish
Responsibilities:
- Support knowledge management activities for SMRFS team, including identifying standard practices, supporting the team in implementation of practices, streamlining and updating organization of files
- Support the design and planning of capacity strengthening activities, deliverables, and task schedules
- Transcribe documentation and recordings into summaries and annexes for capacity strengthening assessments and reports
- Prepare and summarize feedback survey responses from a variety of trainings and workshops
- Assist in preparing scopes of work, budgets, and sole source justifications for subcontracted organizations
- Assist in preparing for dissemination events for diverse stakeholders
- Source and organize photos for project documents and presentations, including writing photo captions
- Populate templates for a variety of reports by synthesizing content from various sources
- Assist in reviewing and formatting documents for conformity to APA style
- Take meeting minutes during internal meetings and meetings with clients and subcontractors
- Support other aspects of the project, including tasks assigned by the management or operations/survey management team
- Support collating content for the project level deliverables such as annual reports
- Write and present in professional English
- Travel internationally approximately 10-15% of the time
