Description:
For Cunard Cruise Line, OSM Thome Recruitment is looking for International Host/Hostess for unique career opportunities in the cruise industry.
Standard Role Summary:
- Serve as a main point of contact for international passengers.
- Handle passenger enquiries and provide translation services.
- Attend social functions to engage with passengers.
- Arrange light entertainment and social gatherings for passengers.
Primary Responsibility of the Role:
- Provide accurate and reliable information to international passengers, including disembarkation procedures.
- Professionally and effectively handle requests and complaints from passengers.
- Translate ship information such as the daily programme, menus, speeches, and other materials for passengers.
- Assist with the hotel check-in process for passengers.
- Arrange coffee mornings and social events for passengers of the same nationality.
- Host events in specialist language(s) for international passengers.
- Attend corporate-sponsored social events and interact with passengers as part of regular duties.
- Maintain a highly visible presence and proactively promote services to international passengers during working hours.
- Offer help and support to others as needed.
SUMMARY OF REQUIREMENTS:
- Fluent in at least one European language, German, French or Spanish or fluent in Japanese
- Demonstrated experience in a fast paced customer facing role
- Previous host/ess experience is desirable
- Previous event planning experience is desirable
- Good command of written and spoken English
- Certificates Valid ENG1 medical certificate or equivalent for the duration of each voyage
