Vysus Group is a leading engineering and technical consultancy offering specialist asset performance, risk management and project management expertise across complex industrial assets, energy assets (oil and gas, nuclear, renewables) and the energy transition. We support our diverse mix of customers across the world on a range of interesting projects.
We are currently looking for an International Human Resources Advisor to join our team in Westhill, Aberdeenshire. In the role of International HR Advisor, you will be part of a small global HR team, and you will provide HR generalist operational support to the businesses in Norway, Sweden, Spain, The Netherlands and the Americas.
This role requires an all-round professional with a generalist background to advise on contracts for permanent and subcontractor’s employees, legal cases, on-boarding activities and coaching managers. You will share your HR expertise with the business and ensure Vysus Group are working within the relevant frameworks and legislation. Due to the spread of countries external input will be required and you will be expected to direct this contact and manage and limit third party costs in the area.

In this role you will:

  • Provide advice to managers and employees on group policies, local laws and terms and conditions when needed.
  • Drive employee relations and process improvement activities, while ensuring consistency in policies and practices and coordinate the implementation of specific service line projects.
  • Work together with the other HR team members on HR projects for Vysus Group to implement global and local initiatives.
  • Ensure effective implementation of HR policies.
  • Work with the compensation & benefits team to manage the benefits, pensions and insurance policies.
  • Contribute to the development of and execute the actions related to the resource plan
  • Conduct support activities in accordance with group policy and local law and monitors due process for fairness and compliance.
  • Manage legal cases effectively according to (local) policies and guidelines.
  • Support managers and employees using the performance management process effectively.
  • Support and actively participate in internal communications and employee engagement activities as appropriate.
  • Ensure HR management information is provided on a regular basis, working with the wider HR team.
  • Support international assignments policies effectively, administer the processes, as well as providing advice to ex-pats.

You will need:

  • A bachelor’s degree or above in social sciences or equivalent.
  • A HR generalist background in complex (preferably multinational) companies.
  • Up to date knowledge of labour and social security laws for some of the relevant countries.
  • Experience working in an international role operating and advising in multiple countries, particularly Norway.
  • Experience in delivering labour policies and regulations.
  • Fluency in English (written and spoken).
  • Experience of using MS Office.
  • Experience with international assignment policies is an asset.
