The Ottawa Catholic School Board invites applications from candidates interested in being considered for the International & Indigenous Languages Secondary Program teaching and supply teaching positions, which may become available during the 2024-2025 school year. These credit teaching positions are for Levels 1 to 3 (gr. 9 to 12) on Saturdays from 9:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. for 32 Saturdays from September to June. Please note that staffing is based on student enrollment and classes may be offered in-person, virtually, or both.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE, KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS:
Registered with the Ontario College of Teachers and hold a Certificate of Qualification (or equivalent) in the Intermediate/Senior divisions;
Teaching experience;
Must have knowledge of and fluency of the language (Listening, Speaking, Reading and Writing);
For ASL only - Knowledge of and fluency of American Sign Language, Deaf culture and needs of Deaf in Hearing/Deaf Cultural settings;
Comfortable teaching online. Some training and support to teach online is available.
