Under the Vice-rector for Partnerships and International Relations, the International Relations Team Coordinator for Partnerships provides leadership and catalyses the efforts of the group of people working together to develop and prepare the University’s international partnership agreements. He or she reports directly to the Head of the International Office. This involves providing support and feedback to the University management on international issues, discussing directly to potential partners, and concluding international agreements.
Key tasks of the Office include, but are not limited to, preparing and assessing agreements with international partner universities, administering and promoting Erasmus+ mobility projects, leading digitalization projects relative to Erasmus+ mobility, administering and promoting staff mobility, coordinating international visits to and from the University, promoting international opportunities for students and staff members, administration of international cooperation and capability building projects, coordinating the EURAXESS Luxembourg network and hosting the initiatives of the University of the Greater Region.

In agreement with your hierarchy, as International Relations Coordinator for international partnerships you will initiate, elaborate and prepare international agreements, as well as conventions with an international focus between the University of Luxembourg and national institutions. You will also participate in university-wide initiatives to raise the attractiveness of the university internationally. You will report directly to the Team leader for International Relations.   • Oversee the coordination of a team comprising 4 permanent (CDI) employees and 1 temporary (CDD) worker, all dedicated to prospective development projects
  • Prepare orientation document and briefing notes on actual or potential partners as well as landscape description in targeted region
  • In agreement with your hierarchy, explore possible partnerships and prepare development mission in accordance with the international strategy of the University
  • Draft, negotiate internally/externally and lead administrative preparation of international agreements (e.g., student exchanges, dual degrees)
  • Draft, negotiate internally (and externally in collaboration with Team leader) and lead administrative preparation of collaboration agreements with national institutions focusing on international higher education projects
  • Identify, investigate and execute cooperation possibilities with foreign partners with regard to the internationalisation of the teaching and/or research of the university
  • Manage several programmes and the associated budgets and if needed make proposals for improvement and implement them after approval
  • Oversee the strategy and support Erasmus+ Erasmus+ Key Action applications
  • Participate in university-wide initiatives to raise the attractiveness of the university mobility and scholarships programs
  • Coordinate and oversee the planning, execution, and evaluation of IRO events
  • Collaborate within the IRO team for the smooth operation of daily activities
  • Participate in regular IRO team exchanges with the three faculties and relevant central services to ensure a dynamic student mobility and fruitful research and collaboration partnerships
  • Draft briefings in preparation of international visits and international missions from and to the University of Luxembour
