WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR

We are currently looking for an International Payroll Assistant to join our UK based global payroll team. The role will report into our Global Payroll Manager and will sit within a core team of four. The International Payroll Assistant will be initially focused on providing support for all payrolls and will also provide support to the International Payroll Supervisor as required. Alongside the UK, the team currently operate overseas payrolls in Australia, South Africa, Dubai, China, the Netherlands, Germany, India, Spain, Latvia, Ukraine, South Korea, Indonesia and United States, with additional future jurisdictions in the pipeline.
The ideal candidate will be an excellent communicator, diligent, pro-active and have a flexible approach to managing their workload. They will also need to flex their working hours in order to accommodate different time zones. They will need to be process oriented and have a keen eye for detail.

You will be assisting in all aspects of payroll processes, ensuring local tax obligations are met and accounting for the payroll. Key Responsibilities

  • Performing overseas payrolls as a primary focus, shadowing and learning each entities requirements. Working with relevant HR teams and internal teams to process monthly updates, verify source data and collate information for uploading to the relevant payroll provider as well as checking payroll data before authorisation by the Global Payroll Manager.
  • Responding to queries from the Global Payroll Manager around payroll authorisations.
  • Handling employee queries relating to their salary, benefits, taxation or social security.
  • Administering net pay, either directly or through ADP Streamline depending on the location.
  • Assisting with administering, reporting and resolving queries related to monthly and annual local payroll tax obligations.
  • Assisting with reconciling the trial balance accounts.
  • Assisting with administering employee benefits.
  • Providing support to ensure compliance with legislative changes in the various jurisdictions.
  • Supporting the Global Payroll Manager with the on-boarding of new payroll locations, new set-ups or migrations, parallel and test running.
  • Provide support to the Global Payroll Manager during external audit processes.
  • Support the London payroll processing function during busier periods.

Skills and Experience

  • Previous international payroll experience necessary and working with ADP Streamline and/or Workday software preferable.
  • Understanding of operating a Shadow Payroll would be beneficial.
  • Customer focused with a friendly manner.
  • Willingness to learn, and proactivity in taking on the challenges of new payroll locations.
  • Excellent communication and relationship building skills.
  • Strong time management skills with a flexible approach to managing workload and meeting varying deadlines.
  • Reconciliation skills are desirable.
  • Experience with NetSuite accounting software would be advantageous.
