POSITION SUMMARY
Reporting to the Regional Manager Americas & Europe, the International Sub-Regional Recruitment Manager plays a key role within International Education. They are responsible for developing a strong enrolment pipeline in their region(s) by implementing a comprehensive recruitment strategy that includes communications, business development, marketing, and enrolment management.
The incumbent excels in leadership, team building, and change management. They have strong communication, problem-solving, decision-making, and time management skills. They maintain integrity, confidentiality, and the ability to handle a demanding workload while managing relationships with diverse individuals.
This role focuses on strategic activities related to international recruitment, admissions, and registration. The incumbent raises Centennial’s profile in their regional markets and implements initiatives to meet enrolment targets. They also identify new revenue opportunities that align with Centennial’s academic vision and ensure high-quality service for international students.
The incumbent contributes to the strategic direction of the International Education Office by addressing immigration, compliance, and regulatory risks. They analyze and resolve complex admissions issues and collaborate with their team to develop integrated solutions. Day-to-day responsibilities include managing international student recruitment strategies and overseeing activities in their assigned regions. They handle relationships with agents, market visits, event planning, and communications to meet the College’s enrolment objectives, while ensuring recruitment activities generate revenue beyond their costs.
Working with the Regional Manager, the incumbent manages recruitment operations in their assigned regions. They develop strategies to maximize market reach and are responsible for meeting revenue targets. After each recruitment cycle, they assess results and look for opportunities to improve.
The role requires extensive travel and relationship-building with embassies, governments, and community partners. The incumbent ensures Centennial’s brand is well-represented in their regions. The incumbent also provides expert advice on international market intelligence and recruitment strategies. Advanced language and intercultural competency are essential for this role, as is a deep understanding of international recruitment and offshore offices. The incumbent represents the College at various meetings and conferences, both nationally and internationally.
QUALIFICATIONS/EXPERIENCE
- Three (3) year diploma/degree or equivalent, Business Administration, International Relations, International Business, Education, Adult Education, Educational Administration.
- Three (3) years’ recent experience in international student recruitment, with leadership experience in post-secondary education or related sectors, and an entrepreneurial mindset.
- Fluency in Spanish is required, with the ability to communicate effectively across Spanish-speaking regions.
- Proven track record of developing and implementing business strategies to increase international student recruitment.
- Experience in international admissions and assessing educational equivalencies, with a deep understanding of global education systems.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to navigate regulatory requirements, market entry, and recruitment challenges.
- Knowledge of Canadian immigration policies and international education regulations affecting student recruitment.
- Superior interpersonal and communication skills, including public speaking, presentation design, and experience engaging with diverse stakeholders, agents, and international institutions.
- Proven management and leadership experience in fast-paced, high-volume environments, with the ability to lead teams and manage projects to achieve recruitment goals.
- Proficiency in data analysis and reporting, to assess market trends, predict student behaviour, and optimize recruitment efforts.
- Demonstrated ability to create and execute marketing and outreach strategies tailored to international markets, with a focus on increasing brand awareness and student engagement.

- Ensures compliance with admission rules and regulations while maintaining data integrity and safeguarding personal information.
- Contributes to strategic planning for recruitment and admissions, aligning efforts with College-wide goals and policies.
- Provides leadership in recruitment strategy development and execution, including marketing and outreach initiatives.
- Coordinates recruitment events, including agent meetings, market visits, and promotional activities to boost enrolment.
- Leads marketing efforts for regional recruitment, aligning strategies with demographic trends and market needs.
- Conducts market research and analysis to identify factors influencing recruitment success and adjust strategies accordingly.
- Represents the College at external events and maintain excellent relationships with partners and stakeholders.
- Prepares reports and briefings for senior leadership, contribute to strategic decision-making, and assume other duties as assigned.
- Ensures exceptional customer service and support for prospective students throughout the recruitment and admissions process.
- Travels to represent the College in international markets, building Centennial’s brand and expanding recruitment efforts.
- Leads business development initiatives, including international partnerships and joint-venture opportunities.
