Overview:
One of the world‘s foremost names in luxury hospitality and a prime development operator requires an additional resource in the in-house tax team. Growth is fuelling the need for commercial and tax technical support.
The International Tax Specialist will report to the Global Head of Tax and will be a member of the Global Legal Team. In this role, the individual will be a key player, responsible for and leading a wide range of international and domestic tax aspects.
New business needs, new regulations, special cases or tax audits etc. will bring you into contact with internal and external specialists, as well as with Swiss and foreign tax authorities.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide direct tax (planning) advice to business and finance teams.
  • Assist in special projects including research and documentation of related technical analysis.
  • Oversee and manage a full range of tax tasks in compliance with developing laws and regulations.
  • Support tax audit management.
  • Assist the legal and finance team with tax due diligence, tax structuring and tax modeling on transactions.
  • Develop global internal control for tax reporting and filing processes.
  • Monitor and ensure that group’s tax filings are processed in time and initiate corresponding actions.
  • Coordinate tax compliance, examinations, and use of external consultants for company operations.
  • Assist with transfer pricing matters (compliance, policy and operational implementation).
  • Participate in the development and implementation of process improvements.

Qualifications:

  • 5 years of experience in corporate tax either at a Big4 consultancy firm or in-house.
  • Industry experience is a distinct advantage.
  • Team player and excellent oral and written communication skills in English.
  • Proactive, ability to work independently, deal with all levels of management and external contacts.
  • Great judgment, resiliency, strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Accuracy and attention to detail, combined with prioritisation and multi-tasking skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently (good work ethic, maturity, and personal initiative), as well as ability to work as a member of a highly collaborative team.
  • EU citizenship or ability to legally live/work in Switzerland without the need for sponsorship.
