DB55 is a unique destination for events and meetings in the heart of Amsterdam Houthavens. Curated by creative studio D/DOCK, DB55 is a dynamic venue expertly blending hospitality, versatile workspaces, and entertainment, ensuring one-of-a-kind experiences.
As an Intern in Event Management, you will assist the Event Management team in planning, organizing, and executing various events. This role provides an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience in the event planning industry. You will work closely with a dynamic team to support all aspects of event logistics, from pre-event planning to on-site coordination and post-event follow-up. This internship is ideal for a creative and detail- oriented individual with a passion for event management.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Education: Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Event Management, Hospitality, Marketing, Communications, or a related field.
  • Skills: Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to multitask. Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and familiarity with event management software/tools.
  • Creativity: Ability to bring creative ideas and solutions to event planning challenges.
  • Team Player: Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Time Management: Ability to manage time effectively and work under pressure to meet tight deadlines.
  • Flexibility: Willingness to work irregular hours, including evenings and weekends, as required by event schedules.
  • Experience: Previous experience in event planning, hospitality, or customer service is a plus but not required.

Responsibilities:

  • Event Planning Support: Assist in the planning and coordination of events, including meetings, conferences, weddings, corporate events, and special functions.
  • Logistics Coordination: Help manage event logistics such as venue selection, vendor coordination, equipment rental, transportation, and accommodations.
  • Vendor Communication: Assist in communicating with vendors, suppliers, and other stakeholders to ensure timely delivery of services.
  • On-Site Event Support: Participate in on-site event setup, coordination, and breakdown, ensuring smooth event execution.
  • Administrative Tasks: Handle administrative tasks such as maintaining event calendars, updating databases, preparing event materials, and managing invitations and RSVPs.
  • Marketing & Promotion: Support the promotion of events through social media, email campaigns, and other marketing channels.
  • Budget Tracking: Assist in tracking event budgets, processing invoices, and ensuring cost-effective event management.
  • Client Interaction: Assist in communicating with clients to understand their event needs and preferences, ensuring their vision is met.
  • Post-Event Evaluation: Help in gathering feedback from attendees, preparing event reports, and suggesting improvements for future events.
