Description:
YOUR JOB
At ABN AMRO, we are looking for a NLP data analyst within the Financial Economic Crime Risk Assessment (FECRA) department. Do you want to play a role in building a data driven intelligence position in the area of financial economic crime? Then we are looking for you!
As a sub-team, the FEC Intelligence team focuses on identifying emerging risks to protect our organization and clients. We utilize an in-house developed intelligence dashboard to track external FEC-related news, keeping us informed about ongoing threats. At the same time, analysts working within DFC produce a wealth of internal information in the form of (free-text) reports, based on client outreach.
Our mission is to use these internal insights to enhance our understanding of financial crime and provide actionable guidance. In order to achieve this goal, it is important to analyse the above-mentioned text sources automatically and on a large scale, using NLP. In this internship project, you will contribute to the development and application of advanced techniques for this purpose. In this way, you will make a tangible contribution to the detection and prevention of financial crime.
We are seeking a motivated and talented intern with a passion for Natural Language Processing (NLP) to join our FEC Intelligence team. This internship will focus on analysing the contents of reports written by thousands of analysts who interact with our clients. Your primary project will involve conducting a common thread analysis across these reports to identify emerging risks and extract contextual guidance.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement NLP models to analyse large volumes of text data from analyst reports.
- Identify common threads, emerging risks, and key insights from the reports.
- Collaborate with the team to refine and optimize algorithms for extracting relevant information.
- Present findings and provide actionable recommendations based on the analysis.
- Document processes and methodologies for future reference and development
