Our Diagnostic Direct Procurement (DOP) department is responsible for strategic supplier management and strategic procurement activities for finished goods and raw materials, to make sure that our in vitro diagnostics solutions are built with highest quality standards. Our vision is to be procurement entrepreneurs, with an ability to design and orchestrate an innovative, agile and sustainable supplier network. We are a global organization with colleagues based in Germany, Switzerland, Spain, the US, China and South Africa.

This Internship position belongs to the Category Team, specifically for CAPEX/Eng Services/IT category. Category Management teams provide in-depth knowledge of supply markets, its players and their capabilities. Based on these insights, long-term category strategies are developed in alignment with the Business and/or functional strategy for sustained value creation.

  • You will be part of an international team with diverse backgrounds and skill sets
  • You have the opportunity to learn and be coached from experienced Category Managers
  • You will learn about different marketplaces, commodities, negotiations, strategy development and execution

This internship position is located in Rotkreuz, Switzerland, hybrid.

Responsibilities:

  • Supporting the creation and implementation of Category Strategies
  • Translate the category strategy into concrete ideas feeding project pipeline
  • Supporting with data analytics, market intelligence dashboards as fundamental part of the Category Strategy framework and development
  • Supporting Supplier Negotiations and Business Review Meetings
  • Supporting the team on activities associated to fulfill our annual targets
