Responsibilities:

ABOUT THE ROLE:

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Compliance Intern to join our team in Luxembourg. In this role, you will support the Compliance Function in ensuring that fundcraft meets regulatory standards and adheres to best practices in compliance. This internship offers a hands-on opportunity to gain practical experience in Compliance (AML/CFT, data protection and relevant regulatory compliance), as well as to contribute to the enhancement of our innovative platform.
You will work closely with experienced professionals, supporting the Conducting Officer responsible for compliance and collaborating with various teams. This role is pivotal in maintaining fundcraft’s commitment to regulatory excellence and data privacy, making it an ideal opportunity for someone eager to develop a career in Compliance within the financial sector.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

As a Compliance Intern, you will:

  • Support the Second Line of Defence: Assist in compliance matters, with a focus on AML/CFT, outsourcing and data protection.
  • Assist in Acceptance Process: Help review and escalate complex and high-risk investor and counterparty cases for the company and its clients.
  • Training Contributions: Support the organization and delivery of Compliance training sessions for the staff.
  • Ongoing Monitoring: Assist in the review and validation processes for ongoing monitoring of hits from sanctions list and adverse media.
  • Platform Feedback: Collaborate in defining and conceptualizing compliance-related features of the fundcraft platform.
  • Data Sampling: Perform regular compliance sample checks on investor and asset databases.
  • Reporting: Contribute to the drafting of internal compliance reports for conducting officers and board of Managers, as well as preparing and filing external compliance reports with relevant authorities.
  • Regulatory Assistance: Assist with various compliance and regulatory topics, including outsourcing and GDPR compliance, answering requests from external parties for notably AML/CFT comfort letters and UBO declarations. Tasks may also involve the drafting/reviewing of internal policies, conducting risk assessments, and coordinating with tech and product teams.
