Description:

Strategy and Management unit, integral part of Medical Informatics Department, has the objective to manage and deliver IT projects that connect healthcare and technology, while managing risks, meeting regulations and promoting continuous improvement.
Dr. Lamine Traore, PhD, Head of the Strategy and Management unit, and Viktor Tynyanskyy, MSc, Information Security Officer are looking for Master’s student to play an impactful role assiting the improvement of the organisational information security posture.
Information Security intern will actively participate in IT risk assessments, current processes gap analysis, definition, implementation or improvement of policies and procedures related to IT and Data best used practices with the focus on secure information processing and hosting.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

  • Collect the input from the stakeholders accross the entire organisation in order to understand internal processes and practices to eventually perform the gap analysis in the selected field related to the information security;
  • Review and update the existing information security related documentation;
  • Perform the IT risk Assessments on IT assets and IT processes with the information Security Officer assistance;
  • Contribute to the information security awareness training sessions among LIH staff;
  • Report the findings to the supervisor through the regular catchups;
  • Foster seamless relationships and effective communication with the team members and stakeholders

KEY SKILLS, EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS

  • Currently pursuing Master degree in Computer Sciences, Information and Communication Technologies, Information Security or similar;
  • Information security governance principles understanding;
  • Information security legal and regulatory requirements understanding;
  • Knowledge of ISO27000 family standards;
  • Attention to detail, strong analytical and self-organizing skills;
  • Excellent proficiency in English (written and oral);
  • Sense of initiative and overall curiosity.
