Description:
POSITION OVERVIEW
The candidate will join the Deutsche Bank’s Fixed Income & Currencies team based in Milan for a 6 months internship.
The team brings together a top-ranked institutional sales force, world-class research with trading and structuring expertise across Foreign Exchange, Rates, Credit and Emerging Markets.
The Fixed Income & Currencies business enables Deutsche Bank to respond to increasing automation, regulatory expectations and client demand for standardisation and transparency in execution across the markets where it operates.
The team’s client centric approach helps Deutsche Bank to serve the needs of our customers across the full product spectrum from basic liquidity provision to innovative derivative and structured solutions for both asset and liability managers, banks, insurance companies, pension funds, retail networks and family offices.
Furthermore, the team provides client solutions in a wide range of Credit and EM products with a product range including external debt and Credit Default Swaps (CDS), FX, rates, options and the more complex cross-market derivatives covering multiple EM jurisdictions.
SKILLS, EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
Ideal candidate has an excellent academic record, a Bachelor in Economics, near completion of a Master in Economics, advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel, highly motivated and a pro-active team worker.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English (and Italian).
Excellent analytical, problem solving and communication skills and solid finance and accounting background would complete the profile.

Responsibilities:
The candidate will be involved in the following tasks lead by senior team members:
- Manage pre-trade and post trade execution;
- Prepare market outlook and marketing material on financial products;
- Pricing of rates and credit derivatives instruments together with trading, sales and structuring;
- Prepare, analyse and monitor internal trading stats in order to help the team to increase business profitability;
- Coordinate the workflow among the different desk, such as Rates, FX, Credit and Solutions to help increase synergies;
- Work with the bank legal team and sales to follow up every negotiation for ISDA / CSA / CDEA/ CDS Side Letter to keep them updated with client needs;
- Liaised with the credit risk management team in order to receive approvals to trade with new funds/counterparties or on a trade by trade basis;
- Partner with the Milan Middle Office and the Case-Manager team to onboard new clients such as banks, asset management and insurance companies along with related sub-funds.
