The internship
Are you passionate about design and communication and eager to see how these skills can make an impact in a business setting? This role focuses on creating and managing digital content to strengthen employee engagement within Global Finance, supporting our company’s EverGreen strategy. You’ll have the opportunity to connect with a diverse range of individuals, including senior leaders at our Global Head Office and colleagues across the many countries where HEINEKEN operates.

What you will be responsible for:

  • Content Creation: Develop engaging digital materials, including graphics and videos, to illustrate how Global Finance contributes to advancing our company’s strategy with a focus on people-centred storytelling.
  • Visual Brand Consistency: Assist in creating additional graphic assets that align with HEINEKEN’s visual brand identity, ensuring a cohesive and recognizable look across all materials.
  • Digital Channel Management: Oversee the editorial calendar and manage digital communication channels for Global Finance, including Workplace and SharePoint, while contributing content for HEINEKEN’s external platforms as needed.
  • Strategic Communication Support: Drive communication initiatives that support the EverGreen strategy, fostering a clear understanding and strong engagement with our global employee base regarding the company’s vision and objectives.

The department
In the Global Communications team, you will be part of the storytelling arm of HEINEKEN that helps deliver messaging internally with our employees and externally with customers, consumers and shareholders.

The terms of employment

  • Your starting date is 1 February 2025
  • The internship is fulltime
  • The duration of the internship is 5 or 6 months (in consultation with your internship supervisor)
  • It is a practice-oriented internship
  • You will be based in Amsterdam
  • During your internship, you have the flexibility to work in a hybrid setup
  • You will receive an internship fee of €650 gross pm based on 40 hours per week (when you start at the 1st of January 2025).
  • You will enjoy 2 vacation days per month (based on fulltime)
  • If you do not have a student OV product, your commuting expenses will be fully reimbursed

  • Pursuing a degree in communications, journalism, public relations or marketing
  • Proficient in Video Editing and Graphic Design (or willing to learn!)

Conditions of HEINEKEN

  • You are enrolled at an educational institution.
  • In the case of non-EU nationality, you must be registered as an intern with a Dutch educational institution, from which we receive proof of enrollment for the current academic year from you.
  • In case of EU nationality, you may also be registered as an intern at educational institutions outside the EU.
  • Living in the Netherlands during internship (HEINEKEN does not facilitate housing).
