Description:
Next generation mobile communications systems must meet challenging requirements in terms of signal quality, sensitivity, and dynamic switching performance. Today’s RF test systems are not adequate to determine these key parameters with sufficient accuracy at reasonable cost. To address this challenge, NI develops sophisticated hard- and software for testing and measurement of future 5G and 6G communication systems!
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS THAT SET YOU APART:
- Experience in the practical use of measurement instruments (e.g., Signal Analyzer, VNA, oscilloscope)
- Interest in RF measurement and accuracy challenges
- Analytical thinking and a high degree of initiative
- Mastery of a broad toolset for programming, debugging and analytics (e.g., Python with Plotly and Pandas, VS Code, Excel)
Responsibilities:
IN THIS ROLE, YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES WILL BE:
- Define RF measurement experiments and setups
- Develop new measurement procedures and algorithms
- Implement scripts in Python or LabVIEWVerify the correctness and performance
Who You Are: You are passionate about wireless technology and like to learn and work with the latest test and measurement techniques and equipment. You can manage your time well and get in touch with mentors with questions to help drive progress and completion of goals and tasks. You work effectively in a group environment, problem-solve, and diagnose technical issues and propose reasonable solutions.
FOR THIS ROLE, YOU WILL NEED:
- Academic studies in Electrical Engineering, Information System Technology, or comparable field of studies (from 4th semester)
- Basic programming knowledge (e.g., C/C++ or Python)
- Basic knowledge in signal processing and RF/wireless communications
- Good command of spoken and written English and/or GermanCompulsory internship (internship duration: 4 - 6 months)
