Internship Trading Risk Management – Linear Rates

You will be part of the team that provides market risk support to the Linear Rates trading desk. The team is part of the Trading Risk Management (TRM) department in Amsterdam. TRM is a global department within ING CRO / Financial Risk, responsible for market risk management & product control activities.
The core activities of the team are measuring and analysing the day-to-day Profit and Loss (P&L) generated by the trading desk and monitoring and advising on the market risk exposures that are taken in the trading books. Next to this, the team is also involved in the product approval process, regulatory compliance projects and continuous system improvements.

The key responsibilities for the role are:

• Managing risk books part of the Linear Rates team in Amsterdam consisting of 6 high value specialists.
• Supporting your Front Office by analysing market risk exposures on the books and proving pro-active, forward-looking advice on potential events and opportunities in the market.
• Appropriately challenging your Front Office on limit breaches, pricing, trading strategy and in the product approval and review process.
• Participating in monthly desk reviews and Local Parameter Committee with Front Office, on limit consumption, P&L contributions and parameters, limit reviews and pro-active risk management topics.
