Description:
ABOUT THIS OPPORTUNITY:
We are seeking a talented Unity developer intern to support XR projects. You will assist in integrating assets from partner organizations and developing or adapting XR environments. The platform for distribution will be Microsoft Mesh, built on Unity in the backend, and installed as a M365 tenant on the expertlearninglab.se domain. One possible scenario you might address involves integrating complex drone flight simulations into the XR environment. Usability and experience design will be key considerations throughout the project.
THE SKILLS YOU BRING:
- • Experience with Unity and creating 3D environments
- Understanding of VR/MR development
- Strong problem-solving skills and a collaborative mindset
- Interest in Microsoft Mesh and its integration with Unity
- Blender experience is an advantage due to our history with the Mozilla Hubs platform
- Experience with low-poly modeling is an advantage
- Interest in usability and experience design within immersive environments
Star date: As soon as possible
Duration: 6 months with possibility of extension
Extent: This internship will be at least 50%, details can be discussed during the interview process
Responsibilities:
- Integrate 3D assets from partner organizations into XR environments using Unity
- Adapt and develop virtual environments for immersive experiences
- Ensure smooth integration of assets into Microsoft Mesh for distribution
- Collaborate with other teams to optimize environments for user engagement and usability
- Work on scenarios such as complex drone flight simulations within the XR space
