We are looking for a Sustainability Intern that is motivated to significantly contribute to the decarbonization, material compliance and Human Rights targets of Accelleron. Reporting to the Value Chain Sustainability & Compliance Manager, you will support Accelleron in our sustainability journey. We are UN Global Compact (UNGC) members, have publicly committed to the Science Based targets initiative (SBTi). You will have an interesting exposure to a global team as part of the business unit Supply & Value Chain.
Your responsibilities:
- Support in the supplier material compliance data request process
- Support the roll-out of the Human Rights global Risk Assessment & training
- Derive actions of the Human Rights Due Diligence roadmap and drive them
- Support the roll-out of a sustainability tool
- Analyze the EU corporate Sustainability Due Diligence Directive (EU CSDDD) requirements and support the global lading team in setting up the framework
- Contribute to the sustainability report
- Participate in the United Nations Global Compact (UNGC) working groups and add value by bringing in own ideas to translate the learnings into business action
- Actively support the Value Chain Sustainability decarbonization and Human Rights targets
Your background:
- Bachelor/Master Student in a relevant field, Engineering, Sustainability Business, Sustainability Management or similar
- Basic understanding of main sustainability frameworks and regulations such as Greenhouse Gas protocol, SBTi; EU Carbon Border Adjustment Mechanism (CBAM); EU Corporate Sustainability reporting Directive (CSRD); EU CSDDD; EU Registration, Evaluation, Authorization and Restriction of Chemicals (REACH) / Restriction of Hazardous Substances in Electrical and Electronic Equipment (RoHS); etc.
- Ability to work in matrix organization
- Fluency in English; German or other additional language is a plus
- Cognitive flexibility and adaptability
- Fast-paced learner
- Strong intercultural communication skills

- Solution oriented, autonomous, and proactive working style. A high level of self-motivation, curiosity, and desire to learn
