Description:

The Program for the Neurobiology of Stress Response and Suicide aims to explore the underlying mechanisms of stress-related disorders and suicidal behavior, fostering innovative approaches to prevention and treatment. We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Interviewer to support our ongoing studies. This role involves data collection of data from clinical interviews, facilitating communication among team members, conducting structured virtual interviews with participants, assessing and managing safety risks, and creating reports to summarize findings. Explain research study purpose and conduct structured interviews with participants.

Responsibilities:

  • Meet weekly with the Project Coordinator for supervision.
  • Assure completeness and accuracy of information obtained.
  • To explain the study to the participant and obtain written consent for participation.
  • To conduct structured interviews with participants, typically over Zoom.
  • Maintain compliance with ethical guidelines and institutional policies.
  • Prepare and maintain accurate documentation, including consent forms, interview summaries, and Redcap documentation.
  • High School Degree or Equivalent required. Master’s degree preferred, ideally in psychology, neuroscience, counseling, sociology, or related research/social sciences field.
  • Previous interviewing experience preferred.
  • Knowledge of research study methods and procedures preferred.
  • Flexibility in work schedule required - Evening availability preferred.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills required.
  • Excellent organizational skills required.
  • Suicide risk assessment/risk management experience preferred.
  • Experience working with people with diverse backgrounds, age ranges, and range of mental health problems.
  • Experience in obtaining informed consent in NIH funded studies preferred
