Description:

JOB OVERVIEW

We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Inventory Specialist to join our team. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in managing inventory levels, ensuring the efficient flow of materials, and supporting the overall supply chain operations. This position requires strong analytical skills and the ability to work collaboratively with various departments to maintain optimal inventory levels and support production needs.

Responsibilities:

-Process purchase requests by obtaining necessary quotes, ensuring required approvals, preparing purchase orders, confirming orders with vendors, and tracking delivery on schedule.
-Assist in identifying and evaluating vendors of material, services, equipment, and supplies with respect to cost and quality using established vendor questionnaires in coordination with the Quality department.
-Source new vendors and show cost savings.
-Manage existing vendor relationships and assist other departments in vendor performance issues.
-Assist the accounting department in resolving vendor invoicing issues.
-Assist in direct purchases at stores and pick-up and deliveries as required.
-Ensure purchase orders and other vendor contract information is stored and maintained in an organized fashion on the server.
-Participate in monthly inventory counts.
-Follow company policies and work instructions to ensure the purchasing processes run smoothly, cost-effective and on schedule.
-Participate in the development and implementation of a continuous improvement methodology
