Job Title: Inventory and Replenishment Planner
Location: Amsterdam
Purpose of the Job: As a Inventory and Replenishment Planner, you support the Supply Chain department in replenishment planning for regional (RDCs) and local distribution centers (LDCs) in Europe. It is very important in this role to have good analytical and communication skills, with a result-oriented mindset.
Major Responsibilities:
(1) Replenishment Planning
- Oversee replenishment planning to ensure high service levels at RDCs and LDCs.
- Track on-time deliveries and manage exceptions.
- Ensure order compliance with controls (minimums, lead times, reorder frequency), and initiate corrective actions.
- Reduce shortages/overstock by analysing issues and creating action plans, keeping stakeholders informed on stock status.
- Lead root-cause analysis with Logistics.
(2) Analysis and Improvement
- Monitor, analyse, and report stock and replenishment KPIs.
- Support and enhance automation of reporting and data handling.
- Analyse forecasts, historic sales, and orders to improve process efficiency.
(3) Inventory management
- Shape inventory norms using past performance, service levels, and product phase info, in collaboration with the Inventory Manager.
- Align with product marketing and demand planning for new product launches.
- Assess supply and demand to identify shortages.
- Collaborate with supply planning and sales to improve inventory quality.
- Maintain SAP APO master data and parameters.
Requirements:
- Bachelor or master degree in quantitative subjects (e.g. Engineering, Supply Chain). Relevant certifications are a plus
- 2-4 years of experience in supply chain or logistics (preferably automotive).
- Intermediate to Expert level in using analytics and reporting tools (e.g. MS Excel, Power BI, etc) with track record of identifying opportunities and delivering results through analytical skills.
- Adequate understanding of general business activities.
- Knowledge of and experience in ERP systems (preferably SAP).
- You are a team player with result-oriented mindset, strong communication & analytical skills
- You speak English on a proficient level, any other European language is advantage, especially Dutch or Hungarian
