Description:

JOB OVERVIEW:

The Inventory Clerk is responsible for managing and maintaining accurate inventory records, ensuring that stock levels are optimized, and supporting the smooth operation of the inventory management process. This role involves identifying bin locations, issue of parts, monitoring inventory levels, performing regular stock counts, and reconciling discrepancies to ensure efficient and effective inventory control.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent. Additional certification in inventory management or related field is a plus.
  • Experience: Previous experience in inventory management or a similar role is preferred. Familiarity with inventory management software is beneficial.
  • Skills: Strong attention to detail, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to work independently. Proficiency in data entry and basic computer applications (e.g., Microsoft Office, inventory management systems, Microsoft Dynamics D365).
  • Physical Requirements: Ability to lift and move inventory items as needed. Some physical activity, including bending, lifting, and standing, may be required.

Responsibilities:

  • Part number creation: Create new part numbers in consultation with the Sales Managers.
  • Inventory Management: Track and monitor inventory levels, including incoming and outgoing stock. Ensure that inventory records are accurate and up-to-date at Mississauga, Saskatoon and Calgary.
  • Stock Reconciliation: Conduct regular physical counts of inventory and reconcile discrepancies with recorded data. Investigate and resolve any variances.
  • Data Entry: Enter inventory data into the inventory management system with high accuracy. Update records for new stock, returns, and other inventory changes.
  • Order Processing: Assist with the processing of inventory orders, including receiving shipments, inspecting goods for quality and accuracy, and managing returns and exchanges.
  • Reporting: Prepare and submit regular inventory reports to management, highlighting key metrics, trends, and any issues that need attention.
  • Organizational Support: Maintain organized and clean storage areas. Ensure proper labeling and storage of inventory items to prevent damage and loss.
  • Compliance: Adhere to company policies and procedures related to inventory control and safety. Ensure compliance with relevant regulations and standards.
  • Travel to other warehouses in Calgary and Saskatoon needed
