Description:

Title: Inventory Control Admin - Farms
Reports to: Farms Production Manager
Based at: Mucci Farms, Kingsville, Ontario.
Type of Employment: Full time, permanent, 6-days a week, and potentially extended hours on weekends and holidays depending on workload and priorities.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

  • Proven ability to multi-task and adjust priorities daily based on business needs
  • Proven ability to adjust inventory accurately
  • The ability to accurately count and report with attention to detail is an absolute must in this role
  • Experience with Inventory Control software (WMS) is an asset
  • Previous experience in farms and agriculture operations would be an asset
  • Previous root cause analysis experience is required
  • Ability to communicate in a clear and concise matter (written, oral and spoken) in English
  • Experience with Microsoft Office programs, Excel and Outlook, is required
  • Ability to work independently and within a team setting
  • Ability to work at Heights
  • Must be willing and able to support the business as needed including extended hours and weekends

PHYSICAL ABILITIES:

  • Must be able to sit, stand, and/or walk for extended periods of time.
  • Must be able to bend, stretch, twist, or reach with body, arms, and/or legs.
  • Must be able to lift material regularly up to 14 kg / 30 lbs; and occasionally up to 23 kg / 50lbs
  • Must be able to climb stairs and stand on feet for an extended period of time.
  • Must be able to work in a temperature-controlled environment of approximately 13 ˚C / 55 ˚F.

Responsibilities:

  • Completion of post-secondary education in a related field will be considered an asset
  • Completion of High School, GED, or equivalent is required
  • Maintain ERP system accuracy inclusive of location-to-location movements, adjustments, understand and verify transactions in ERP database
  • Performing urgent reactive/high accuracy count verifications in the warehouse and repack setting
  • Complete daily cycle counts and assist with inventory investigations and reconciliations
  • Investigate and determine the root cause(s) of inventory discrepancies of day-to-day inventory transactions
  • Responsible for a formalized inventory cycle count control system to maintain inventory accuracy and integrity
  • Liaise with commodities, sales, production, food safety, and shipping/receiving departments to address any inventory variations and/or quality issues on outbound products; investigate and take corrective action
  • Review and ensure accuracy of produce inventory levels and perform physical counts and need to Investigate discrepancies
  • Ensure Inventory is matching physically and systematically according to the status
  • Exercise urgent response to on floor count triggers
  • Determine trends and common patterns to identify root cause(s) of inventory discrepancies
  • Input and use of daily reports to transmit tangible data from inventory status to operations team for follow up and/or investigation to drive tangible results
  • Establish procedures and coordinate with other departments
  • Scanning and maintaining inventory
  • Assist as required in receiving and counting orders
  • Report any quality or crop issues to Grower
  • Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned based on skills and qualifications
