QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Operations, Accounting, Business, or related area (or equivalent combination of education and experience).
  • 5-7 years of Supply Chain experience with at least 4 years of Inventory Control experience.
  • Strong leadership (team facilitation, consensus building, project leadership and project execution).
  • Ability to analyze data and possess acute attention to detail.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Sound judgment under stressful situations.
  • Self-motivated with proactive response to new challenges.
  • Knowledge of SAP and tier-1 WMS.
  • Proven ability to lead and implement change and improvements in inventory processes

Responsibilities:

RESPONSIBILITIES:

The Manager Inventory Control position is responsible for the overall management and safeguarding of DMFI Finished Goods Inventory, Brite Inventory, Material’s and Fiber Inventory for Plant and DC Operations in Modesto. This oversight includes managing supply chain activities at both the strategic and tactical levels to ensure all plant and DC inventory/operational activities are accurate, timely and aligned to company standards. This position provides the appropriate level of support, training, system maintenance and communication to maximize service levels. To this end, this position will have responsibility in delivering key objectives including case fill, cuts, inventory valuation, and old age management.

  • Responsible for the development and adherence of policies, guidelines, and procedures to ensure inventory is properly managed and accounted for in Modesto.
  • Leads the investigation of inventory discrepancies and drives root cause analysis with operation partners. Directs the work with the Plant and DC to implement corrective action.
  • Drives accountability of inventory processes and procedures in both the Plant and DC operations.
  • Responsible for the development and maintenance of Standard Operating Procedures (SOP’s) dealing with Governance, Maintenance and Audits.
  • Manages, coaches, and develops inventory control team at Modesto.
  • Directs the cycle count programs, physical inventory and guides improvements to these programs.
  • Ensures IC teams are completing inventory reconciliation between WMS and SAP to comply with Sarbanes’s Oxley (SOX) standards.
  • Collaborates with the Supply Chain Leadership team to realize cross functional efficiency gains and continuous improvement opportunities.
  • Collaborates with Corporate Inventory Control, Regional Inventory Control, Plants, 3PL’s to design, implement and maintain Inventory Scorecard.
  • Collaborates with Inventory Accounting to ensure proper resolution of balancing inventory general ledger accounts.
  • Ensure that all inventory, receipt and shipment transactions post on a timely basis and audit them for accuracy.
  • Monitor customer returns in order to proactively identify issues to reduce costs and errors. Audit all credit and debit memos associated with these returns for accuracy.
  • Leads DC and Plant Operations on initiatives and projects.
  • Other duties as assigned
