Description:
We are seeking a motivated and organised ICS to join our collaborative Buying team in an entry level role at Costco’s Head Office in Lidcombe.

We are dedicated to quality in every area of our business, and have a unique opportunity for an Inventory Control Specialist to join our growing Buying team and develop a career at Costco.
Position Summary: This role is part of Costco’s Buying Team, who are responsible for all the products and services that Costco sells and provides to members.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS / INDUSTRY SPECIFIC SKILLS
Education/Training:
Bachelor Degree in disciplines of Commerce, Marketing (Channels), Supply Chain, Accounting/Finance, Communications or International Business.
Knowledge/Skills:
- Google Suite (Docs, Sheets, Slides)data entry experience
- AS400
- Strong attention to detail
- Approachable with excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to multi-task, with strong organisation and problem solving skills
- Strong evaluation and analytical skills
- If successful, you will be required to undertake role and department specific training within specified timeframes
Responsibilities:
- Raise and manage domestic and international purchase orders
- Reviewing inventory across all warehouses, depot and e-Commerce site
- Planning and forecasting sales plans and Open to Buys across multiple categories
- Updating item and supplier records for changes such as, price, descriptions, delivery specifications and technical product information
- Setting up, coordinating and managing marketing promotions with Marketing and e-Commerce teams
- Assisting the Buyer and Assistant Buyer with various merchandise projects
- Working with Suppliers, Depots, Warehouse and e-Commerce teams
