POSITION OVERVIEW

As the Inventory Control Supervisor you will ensure inventory management, quality inspection, and material handling operations are executed efficiently and effectively. You will mentor, lead and train the team to perform activities in a timely and cost-effective manner.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Grade 12 education or equivalent
  • 5+ years in a supervisory position with a background in inventory management
  • 5+ years of experience with inventory management, quality inspections, receiving and storage procedures
  • Strong leadership experience, excellent communication skills, and demonstrated ability to successfully plan and organize workloads
  • Experience with SAP is considered an asset
  • Ability to collaborate with a variety of leaders, managers, and stakeholders while advocating for the needs of the team
  • Ability to meet the requirements outlined in the Canadian Controlled Goods Program
  • Ability to obtain a Government Security Clearance at the Reliability level

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement inventory management, quality inspections, and material handling activities
  • Lead the development and updating of procedures and policies to ensure they meet specific needs
  • Ensure the team is motivated to achieve next level performance through providing leadership in their day-to-day, conducting performance appraisals, and fostering their career development
  • Collaborate with HR and Management to provide insight on recruitment, onboarding, training, and performance management
  • Empower your team with the knowledge and guidance they need to excel in their role
