QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS

  • 2+ years’ experience as an Inventory Controller or Inventory Manager
  • Experience with revision-controlled components highly desired
  • Exposure to an engineering/technology environment highly desired
  • Intermediate Excel skills
  • Stocktake planning experience
  • General stock control understanding (FIFO, LIFO, Revision Control)
  • Ability to work autonomously and as part of a fast-paced team
  • Strong ability to multi-task, meet deadlines and handle pressure
  • Clear communication (both verbal and written)
  • Positive & fun attitude!

Responsibilities:

ABOUT THE ROLE

DroneShield is seeking an experienced Inventory Controller whose responsibilities will be critical in helping the business run smoothly during its next phase of growth.
Reporting to the Supply Chain Manager, the Inventory Controller will join two Inventory Clerks, led by an Operations Officer as a four-person Inventory Team. This position is an exceptional opportunity for a results-driven Inventory Control professional with a desire to develop their career in a fast-growing ASX defence technology company.

RESPONSIBILITIES, DUTIES AND EXPECTATIONS

Supporting the Operations Officer as part of the Inventory Team, the general responsibilities include:

  • Accepting deliveries & receiving of components against Purchase Orders
  • Kitting of Manufacturing Orders for internal and external production
  • Packing of finished goods ahead of sale (Mass-production style)
  • Working with the Logistics Team for preparation of outgoing shipments
  • General office administration

With the role’s core responsibilities of:

  • ERP data control (Locations & stock balance)
  • Co-ordinate monthly inventory cycle-count activity
  • Co-ordinate year-end 100% Stocktake with support from the Supply Chain Manager
  • Completing ad-hoc inventory tasks

The opportunity exists to develop this role into a mature and robust Inventory Management regime.
