Description:
Babylonstoren’s e-commerce department has grown exponentially over the last few years. Our environment is fast-paced, innovative and performance-driven, so fits someone who is self-driven, has a keen eye for detail, looks to find solutions, and has the self-confidence to make decisions and escalate matters when necessary. We are hyper-focussed on customer experience: this drives every decision, process and task.
We are looking for a dynamic Inventory Coordinator to join our team on Babylonstoren Farm. You need to be detail-focussed and solution-oriented with experience in inventory management, warehousing, supply chain or logistics, ideally within an e-commerce environment. This role suits a highly motivated individual who thrives in a fast-paced, exciting environment and who can easily adapt to changing market and organisational requirements. A commitment to excellence, passion for software systems, and strong problem-solving skills with attention to detail, are essential to succeed in this position.
Requirements
- Relevant tertiary qualification in supply chain management, logistics, inventory management or similar.
- Prior experience in inventory management, supply chain management, logistics or e-commerce.
- Intermediate computer skills (Microsoft Office, ERP software systems).
- Target-oriented and performance-driven attitude.
- Ability to work productively, efficiently and effectively whilst maintaining attention to detail.
- Ability to adapt to and implement change effectively.
- Energetic and positive attitude.
- Available to work over weekends.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills (Afrikaans and English).
Responsibilities
- Oversee all stock administration for the Cape Town and Johannesburg warehouses, ensuring accurate reflections of stock across all systems and that all stock transactions are captured accurately.
- Develop and implement inventory management protocols.
- System administration and master user for the WMS and ERP (Sage X3) systems, ensuring accurate capturing and reflection of data while maintaining system hygiene.
- Manage safety stock and inventory cap schedules of products sold online. The availability of seasonal fresh products varies, which should be manually managed on the various systems.
- Oversee the online product availability, accurately reflecting stock levels in the warehouses. Liaise closely with the procurement and warehouse teams to solve any issues that may arise.
- Maintain an overall view stock levels across all departments and in both warehouses to best decide which stock should be moved. This also involves working with the product development team.
- Administrate stocktakes across all sites and reporting thereafter, which includes preparing the stocktake schedule and stocktake sheets for the different sites.
- End-of-life stock administration, which includes keeping track of all soon-to-expire and discontinued products, ensuring that the correct actions are taken by key decision makers.
