Description:
SUMMARY:
Reporting to the Planning & Inventory Manager, the Inventory Coordinator will execute tasks related to purchase order creation, submission, follow-up, min/max management and store transfer order creation. This position ensures that inventory arrives at the distribution center and retail locations in a timely manner. This position has a significant impact on sales, turn performance, and plays a key role in the timely arrival and distribution of Cabela’s inventory.
Location: Corporate office, 25 De Baets St., Winnipeg. This is a hybrid role with 2 days of remote work and 3 days in the office.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Post-secondary education in business administration or an equivalent combination of related education and experience is preferred
- Intermediate Excel skills
- Understanding of the logistical cycle in a retail environment
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
- Excellent time management skills
- Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to work with cross functional departments
- Proven ability to work in a dynamic, continuous improvement environment
- Knowledge and/or experience in outdoor activities and associated products are an asset

Responsibilities:
- Create purchase orders, both domestic and off-shore
- Communicate with vendors on delivery dates and accuracy of shipping quantities
- Manage any supply chain resolution requests
- Create product min/max’s using inventory software (SAP) by retail store location based on sales trends and selling season
- Update min/max’s based on seasonal trends to ensure accuracy
- Track flyer and event inventory
- Accurately allocate inventory for flyer and events to maximize sales
- Update and maintain various Excel-based tools and trackers
- Perform other related duties as assigned
