LOCATION/DIVISION SPECIFIC INFORMATION:
Clinical Labeling Services, part of the Clinical Trials Division, located in Bohemia, New York provides leading clinical label design, production and management services for the pharmaceutical and biotechnology industry. Our advanced inspection software, full in-house print capabilities, and proprietary translation and regulatory approval system are designed to reduce overall clinical trial label cycle times.
How Will You Make an Impact?:
The Inventory Coordinator plays a crucial role in the manufacturing process of clinical trial labels at the Bohemia, NY facility. Their responsibilities include researching, tracking, and managing the release and shipping of products using various proprietary computer systems. They also manage and verify the receipt of in-house manufactured goods and process requests based on established standard operating procedures (SOPs). Therefore, the effectiveness and efficiency of this role directly impact the production process, inventory management, and overall operational efficiency.
A Day in the Life:
- Researches, tracks, and manages the release and shipping of products using various proprietary computer systems, including an Inventory Management System, Receiving System, and national distributors databases.
- Manages and verifies the receipt of in-house manufactured goods and process requests based on established standard operating procedures (SOPs). Additional responsibilities include tracking and receiving materials from external vendors and clients using a proprietary inventory management system.
- Maintains shipping supplies to always ensure adequate supply levels. Packs clinical trial labels into boxes in such a manner as to avoid any damage in transit.
EDUCATION:
High school diploma or equivalent required.
EXPERIENCE:
- Minimum of 1 year of work experience in a manufacturing, operations, production, lab setting or related field
- Preferred: Experience in a cGMP environment
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES:
- Knowledge of Inventory Management: The Inventory Coordinator should understand how to manage and track inventory, including a familiarity with the First In, First Out (FIFO) method.
- Organizational Skills: The Inventory Coordinator should have the ability to maintain an organized workspace, properly store materials and components, and keep accurate records of purchase orders, delivery dates, and receiving dates.
- Equipment Handling Skills: The Inventory Coordinator should know how to operate and monitor various equipment and tools, including forklifts, electric jacks, and stand-up lifts. This also includes monitoring battery levels and ensuring all pallets are safely strapped when handling or before they are put on shelves.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS / WORK ENVIRONMENT
- Fast-paced environment which relies on teamwork to ensure jobs are completed within established timelines.
- Ability to lift and maneuver materials weighing up to 20 lbs.
