THE OPPORTUNITY

Leavitt Machinery is looking for an Inventory Data Analyst to join our team in Coquitlam, BC. As the Inventory Data Analyst, you will partner with stakeholders to ensure their needs are met by the Parts department, while capitalizing on opportunities to drive business success.

REQUIRED SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS

The ideal candidate will possess the following skills, knowledge, and competencies:

  • Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, business administration, or a related field preferred
  • Prior experience in inventory management or a related field
  • Familiarization with Lean concepts & principles will be considered a strong asset
  • Previous experience with Microsoft Dynamics ERP is considered an asset
  • Advanced skills in Excel, including pivot tables, VLOOKUP, macros, and data visualization
  • Experience with tools such as SQL, Tableau, and Power BI for creating detailed reports
  • Excellent communication skills, organizational skills, and analytical skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in parallel and excel in a fast-paced work environment
  • High level of accuracy and attention to detail

Responsibilities:

As the Inventory Data Analyst your key responsibilities will include:

  • Manage and monitor inventory levels to ensure optimal inventory
  • Conduct periodic inventory audits to ensure accuracy
  • Perform cycle counts and reconcile discrepancies
  • Coordinate and support annual count of all inventories
  • Analyze inventory data to identify trends, forecast needs, and optimize inventory levels
  • Generate and present reports on inventory levels, usage rates, and forecasted needs
  • Track key performance indicators (KPIs) related to inventory management
  • Use historical data to identify demand patterns and adjust inventory levels accordingly
  • Work with Sales and Operations teams to understand future demand and plan inventory needs
  • Identify and implement process improvements to enhance inventory management efficiency
  • Leverage inventory management software and other technologies to streamline operations
  • Analyze inventory-related costs and identify areas for cost reduction
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and standards
  • Maintain safe inventory storage practices and ensure adherence to safety standards
  • Provide support to internal teams by ensuring the availability of required parts
  • Ensure all inventory-related documentation is complete and accurate
